There is a song by Bishop Paul Morton titled I am what you see. It is my prayer that we develop the discipline to think right. This will give us the discipline to act right despite our status, situation, or relationship. The bible says without vision the people perish (Proverbs 29:18) . We take this to mean many things, but the fact of the matter is regardless if you are talking about a project at work, finances, or motivation - seeing the vision is what leads you to the GOAL. Try seeing it this way, in order for an artist to finish a painting, the vision must be cognitively developed to know where to put the paint. That being said, if you see that you are healed and free, you would not act as if you are bound. It's your vision that leads you. It's as if Christ gives you a new pair of glasses. A new outlook. The only thing is, it's up to you to put them on - freedom of choice. We need to start letting God's word define us. Don't let your feelings define your perspective of yourself. God's word is the final authority. See yourself as beautifully and wonderfully made. A lender and not a borrower. Worthy and acceptable. I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). You are the temple of the Holy Spirit; you are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19). You are the head and not the tail; above only and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). People of faith operate off their revelation not their situation.
